29 may 2009, one of my happiest day ever in my life. i mean it.
passed out. POP-ed! the feeling was indescribable. Three and a half year in CHSNCCLAND. definitely i cant bear to leave this company. still rmb that time when we all (partA that time), didnt know each other at all. we didnt talk to each other at all during the first training, damn cold atmosphere. thats sec1. time flies. now, we passed out together but only 28 of us. thats abit sad.
one of my happiest day in my life. why so. not because i’ve got a special promotion. okay fine, the previous sentence may sound hypocritical. GETTING PROMOTED TO STAFF SERGEANT IS ONE OF THE FACTORS WHICH LEADS TO MY UTMOST HAPPINESS.
yesterday was damn crazy, damn fun, damn siao, damn wadever-word-to-us. first we gathered in store as usual to change. and when bentley came in with his bags and stuff, i made a comment which made everyone laughed their ass off. HEY BENTLEY, U STILL REMEMBER UR WAY TO STORE AR? haha, thats the result for pon-ing too much training. haha, nonetheless, we are friends. then was some slacking here and there, before the rehearsal started. i think that the number of rehearsals were not enough, but who cares, WE ARE THE BEST, WE DUN NEED TO REHEARSALS. hahahahahaha.
actual parade itself. hmm, i think my voice is fine when GOH marched in. lol. im sure we didnt screw up the marching because WE ARE THE BEST. then was all the crap shit. THEN FOLLOWED BY BEST CADET PART B, C, D. MAN, WHO THE HELL IS PART B BEST CADET? i’ve not heard of him before. nvm, cant be bothered hahaha. CONGRATULATION TO TONG LOK LAM AKA SENIOR CITIZEN for PART C BEST CADET. okay fine, heart to heart talk. frankly speaking i was hoping VERY MUCH that i got the Best Cadet award. (not because i want to pass out with 3 plaques GSK best cadet in Spec course, Passing out Plaque and Best Cadet plaque) but i feel that my contribution and attitude and wadever crap shit is significant. but freaking hell, Daryl announced and weilun got it. frankly speaking again, at first i thought that its either me, zongda or weilun. fair enough, im sure and i feel strongly that weilun equally (or more by ABIT) deserves the award. hahaha. seriously he’s really gung ho and basically 1 word. CRAZY. he’s PT is the best session in the whole training. and he’s crazy ideas during leadership camp or wadever. and, im glad to be his platoon mate for 3.5 years. sincerely, i think that he deserves it.
so after taking over, keefe came and i marched in, back to the platoon. at that moment, i was abit sad liao. really. disappointed. shortly after, Daryl said something about ‘Special Award’ or ‘Special Promotion’ plus ‘Staff Sergeant’, i forgot liao. i stunned for 2 seconds, wondering wad the heck was that, coz CHSNCCLAND tradition did not have such an award. next up, i heard my name being called up. seriously that moment was crazy. (shit, weak vocab, kept using the word ‘crazy’). i wasnt mentally prepared at all. marched out, sir told me sth like.. sorry ar, ncc couldnt afford to send u for senior spec course, due to the numbers. i hope u wont mind and accept this. sth along that line lar. i really appreciated wad he said, very much. seriously speaking, my Sir is not a bad sir afterall. wadever he does comes with reasons and senses.
after all those were giving out of Passing out plaques. Part D marched out individually and it was effing long. but nvm, i was enjoying my last few moments as STAFF CHEKWEI. hahahahahahah. eh please lar, the 5 of them have like so many months to be addressed as STAFF, yet i’ve like.. kunliang said 30mins, i said 5mins and desheng felt that it was actually 3 mins for my status to be Staff Sergeant -.-
next was ending already. tradition and convention, we marched off the parade, did ‘hada kaki’ (dunno how to spell lar, forgive me) cheer and THREW OUR BARETS! WE PASSED OUT! WOOHOO. that was so fun. seriously. too bad for the juniors. eh PART A, B, C, if u guys wanna throw ur baret up high, either u wait for ur POP or u can throw at home. =) oh yes, we taupok-ed keefe. thats cool.
parade ended, photo taking. damn long and funnaye. lots of taupoking and lauching people into the sky. short guochuan included. keefe included. taupok ASM desheng. thats damn cool, and he became flat. lmao. everybody was hungry, SORRY PART A,B,C TO KEEP U ALL WAITING FOR THE BUFFET YESTERDAY! watched a video, wahseh, the back abit emo. but the last last part is unnecessary. hahah, everybody jeered at the last part. LOL. FOOD WAS NICE, A LOT ALSO. those cadets serving food just kept spamming me with food. wth. managed to finish them. this year’s budget a lot sia, a lot to eat. hope the juniors had their fill too.
changed into PT attire. man, my number 4 is like damn wet. effing wet. THE WEATHER AND I was too hot, so cant blame me for sweating too much. then was bit of soccer while the Part C talked to their individual platoon. oh yes, presents presents presents! yusheng got some yu-gi-oh cards, which i believed that there’s some inner-meaning. u guys are insulting him as a lame kid isit? then zixin got a soccer ball, suits him. GUESS WAD I’VE GOT? *see picture at the end of the post* i was really really really 10000X happy when i saw the present. freaking hell, u guys really know wad/who i like. THANKS A LOT, REALLY. MUACK MUACK MUACK =) hehehehehe. i cant bear to open it sia.
then was debrief by CSM, ASM for the Part C. reflections for each and everyone. damn long, until like night time. haha, hope they wont mind. coz its the last time we speak to them in NCCLAND. talk, talk talk, laugh laugh laugh. nixon’s laughter is classic. hahahaha. oh yes. i realised 2 things. the feeling of being called a STAFF CHEKWEI and SERGEAT CHEKWEI is not difference. but the feeling of being called a SENIOR CHEKWEI has a different. the feeling is totally different. felt old. haha. but seriously, Senior chekwei sounds nicer. and, hope jun yuan’s better now. i saw him and he barely can walk properly. get well, the company needs u. haha. or jun yuan, u can take MC from ncc land and the our batch will serve until u recover. im sure keefe and us are fine with that. hahahaaha.
NEXT UP, NO MORE NCC STUFF. soccer in the indoor sports hall. YES SOCCER. that was damn fun, really. crazy fun. its like, professional street soccer game. then teacher wanan locked the hall, so we went to the track/big staircase at outside ISH. that time was around.. 7+,8pm. there was a ZAM-THE-SOCCER-BALL-AS-HIGH-AS-POSSIBLE-COMPETITION. seriously, that was REALLY REALLY DAMN FUNNY AND IDIOTIC. kept laughing. keefe pumped the ball sky high, almost the height of ISH, imagine that. kunliang pumped too. and ek kiat was a monkey/ninja warrior. crazy night, really.
then was dinner. scammed, nvm. chatted. 9+,10pm at that time. talk talk, laugh laugh. then CLASSIC MOMENT. EXCURSION TO CIRCLE LINE! FREAK, DAMN BIG BLOODY HELL. jing rui: how they manage to dig? (in chinese) hahaha. seriously, its damn big and cool. the whole tunnel barely had people and we jus treat it like its our own place. air con is damn cold. freak, nice place. i think its really worthy to increase the mrt/bus fare by a few cents and we’ve got all this services. felt really happy and high.
trained back to khatib. reached home at around 11pm. shared my joy with my family. dad said he wanna frame up my SSG rank which made us -.- haha.
i was really happy yesterday. officially graduated from CHSNCCLAND. all i’ve to say is, i wish my Part C 09 can continue to do their best (yes, i said continue, means they are currently doing their best already!), and resume the glory and GUNG HO-ness in CHSNCCLAND. WE ARE THE BEST! dont forget okay, NCC LAND IS ONE OF THE TOP 5 UNIFORM GROUPS IN CHS. i love u all Part Cs! most most most importantly, dun forget ME as a Specialist for the past 1 year okay!

2years plus as part A/B.
1 yaer as a Sergeant.
A few minutes as a Staff Sergeant.
Currently a Senior.
BUT, FOREVER I LOVE NCCLAND. (this is not hypocritical, mind you. its from my big big heart!)
definitely cant forget my days in CHSNCCLAND. its something im proud of and its something belongs to me.
